Webdesign RCT is proud to support our local community through our charity work. We help registered charities that need IT hardware by donating equipment we’ve cleared, checked, and made safe for reuse.
Some of the items we donate are built by our team using parts we’ve carefully collected and assembled. Others have been kindly donated to us, and we pass them on to charities where they can make a real difference.
It’s a simple idea with a big impact: helping good causes acquire the tech they need, while keeping perfectly usable hardware out of landfill. If you’re a registered charity in need of equipment — or you’d like to donate items for us to refurbish and re-home — we’d love to hear from you.
Before we donate any IT hardware, we “clean” it properly by securely clearing any existing data. Drives are wiped using full overwrites and other trusted data-erasure methods, so previous information is removed and can’t be recovered through normal means. Only once the device has been cleared and checked do we pass it on for donation — giving charities safe, ready-to-use equipment while protecting everyone’s privacy.
